WHO WE ARE

FRIENDS OF JESUS CRUCIFIED

A Lay association of

  • Married men and women
  • Singles for Christ (male and female, who have consecrated their lives to the Gospel) who wish to sacrifice themselves, their time, resources and talents for the love and God and their neighbor.
  • The choice of belonging is that of voluntary martyrdom and self-immolation as an act of reparation and appreciation to Jesus Christ who voluntarily gave himself to be crucified for us (Gal 12:20)
 SPIRITUALITY

Our primary spirituality is:

·         to live a hidden life of unconditional love of God and service to God in our neighbor
·         Consoling Christ in this our corrupted generation by
Prayer and mortification in reparation for our sins and the sins of the whole world and for the      conversion of sinners
            Accepting our crosses with love
Detachment/separation from worldliness in order to bring out the reality of Christian virtues as Christ said from the beginning, that his people, thought they live in the world are not of the world or for its affairs, like himself (Jn. 15:18-19; 17:14-16)
Adoration of all his holy wounds and precious blood, which are the visible marks/proofs of his unending love for us.

APOSTOLATE/MISSION

As we do not live together we carry our mission on our various duty posts. Teachers, students, business men and women, civil servants, house wives etc, carry out their missions and perfume the world with Christ in their various capacities, in the area of their individual occupations/profession, in the school, market or shop, offices, homes respectively.

COMMUNAL DEVOTION

Our entire life revolves round Good Friday – the day of sorrow, penance, mortification and contemplation.
-          So we offer special devotion/reparation to Jesus Crucified on Fridays (the passion day). We offer daily adoration/reparation prayers to the holy wounds and precious blood if Jesus as well. This devotion can be established in parishes.

SCHOOL OF JESUS CRUCIFIED

Besides, we organize seminars, recollections, retreats and novena prayers for members and non-members, to enhance character formation and reformation.
Our rules, structure and guidelines are intended to supply the discipline necessary for freedom and pure love.

CONCLUSION

This association is meant for the renewal of the face of the church and the earth.
Determined to bind ourselves to Christ and to this narrow/Calvary/desert way of life till death, we follow Christ’ footsteps slowly, but surely, to complete in ourselves by patient suffering what is still necessary to build up the body of Christ, the Church (Col 1:24).
In the beginning it may seem difficult, but if we hold unto our purposes, before long, we will have the inner freedom and that deep faith that will impel us to serve God with the joyful enthusiasm of one in love.
If we are generous in sharing his cross, he will be infinitely more generous in sharing with us his glory.
If we have died with him, we shall also live with him (2tim 2: 11)

THE HOLY WOUNDS ARE THE TREASURES OF THE SOULS IN PURGATORY

The Rosary of the Holy Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ or the Chaplet of mercy may be said on the Rosary beads:
On the Large bead:
V:  Eternal Father I offer thee the holy wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ
R: To heal the wounds of our souls (300 Days indulgence each time)
On the Small beads:        V: My Jesus pardon and mercy,
R: through the merits of your Holy Wounds (300 days indulgence each time)

SACRED PENITENTIARY, JANUARY 15TH 1924

These two invocations were taught by our Lord to Sr. M. Martha Chambon, deceased, in the visitation of Chambery, France, March 21st 1907.
The sister received from our Lord a double mission: constantly to invoke the Holy wounds herself, and to revive this devotion on the world.

(“The soul who will have honored my holy wounds and will have offered them to the eternal Father for the souls in purgatory shall be accompanied by the blessed Virgin and the Angels at the hour of their death and I , in my radiant glory will receive them and crown them”)
